Bent but not Broken

This dry river bed in the Flinders Ranges has been dry for quite a while, but you can still see the shaping effect the water had on the vegetation.

Bent or twisted trees survive all the hardships of the Australian climate. It makes me think of some people and their difficult lives, showing a resilience like these gum trees in the face of adversity.
