Strangler Fig

In the rainforest plants grow everywhere.

Birdsnest and staghorn Ferns are clinging to trees, palms and vines strive to reach the light and moss and lichen cover rocks. The most successful survivor is the Strangler Fig. It climbs up tall trees, surrounds them with their tentacle like aerial roots until it reaches the canopy, smothering the host tree in the process.
